DC resistance
The electrical resistance of a conductor is essentially dependent on its temperature and the frequency of the voltage. You can easily circumvent the frequency dependence by using a DC power source during the measurement. Here, the term DC resistance is used.
The DC resistance is therefore the ohmic resistance of a conductor that is directly dependent on the conductor material, the conductor gauge and the length of the conductor. A precise measurement of the DC resistance is possible with a microohmmeter.
