ST600s | Err.20, what does this message mean, what can be done?
If the error message Err.20 appears on the display of the frequency inverter, it is a motor autotuning error.
Causes:
- The motor power does not match the power of the frequency inverter. This error can easily occur if the difference between the two is more than five power classes.
- Motor parameter is not set correctly.
- The parameters obtained by autotuning differ greatly from the default parameters.
- Autotuning timeout.
Solutions:
- Change the VFD model or adopt the V/f mode for control by P00.00 = 2.
- Set the correct motor type in P02.00 and parameters P02.01 – P02.05 on the nameplate.
- Remove the engine load and perform auto-tuning again.
- Check motor wiring and parameter setting.
- Check whether the upper frequency limit P00.04 is greater than 2/3 of the nominal frequency.
