ST600s | Digital inputs – What can be connected and how?
The digital inputs of the ST600 frequency inverter enable the inverter to be controlled by means of sensors, switches, a PLC, etc.. Terminals S1 to S4, as well as HDIA and HDIB are used for connection. The HDIA and HDIB input terminals can be used as both digital and high-speed pulse inputs.
Up to 72 different functions can be parameterised for each of these terminals, which are triggered by a control pulse at the input.
The sensor or switch is connected between the respective input terminal and +24V.
The functions are to be parameterised at the following parameters:
Terminal | Parameter | Description |
S1 | P05.01 | Digital input |
S2 | P05.02 | Digital input |
S3 | P05.03 | Digital input |
S4 | P05.04 | Digital input |
HDIA | P05.05 | P05.00 = x0 – Pulse input
P05.00 = x1 – Digital input |
HDIB | P05.06 | P05.00 = 0x – Pulse input
P05.00 = 1x – Digital input |
In the factory setting, the digital input terminals are logically active when they are connected to +24V. The polarity can be changed at parameter P05.08
P00.01 = 1 for control only via terminals.
